The final conference of the Transval-EU project took place in Stockholm on the 24th & 25th of May 2023. The event counted with the participation of the European Commission and different Ministries and around 100 guests.
The partners of the Transval-EU project, amongst wich EFFE is an associated partner, invited policymakers, experts and validation and guidance professionals to discuss policy measures and sharing evidence on the validation of transversal competences as well as results concerning the professionalisation of validation of transversal skills and competences in Europe.
The conference offered the opportunity to disscuss the European Policy measures, highlighted by the European Union. The participants were invited to evaluate the replicability, transferability and upscaling of the suggested policies in the pilot countries and other countries and regions in the EU.
It was also the opportunity to learn from the evidence gained during the field trials in five countries and the research carried out during the project. The analysis of the processes and steps used before, during and after the validation and/or guidance on transversal skills by practitioners provided a set of models of how validation of transversal skills can systematically be part of validation and guidance pathways.
Participants were very interested to know more about the tools developed and the ways these have been tested in different countries. We could note a strong support to the consortium for pursuing the work achieved.
The project has produced several tools to help professionals to implement the validation of transversal skills. Recognising this type of basic skills is a very valuable way to empower candidates and encourage them to continue studying or validating other competences.
The consortium took the opportunity to have the last face-to-face partners meeting.
